The product Lyoset P210 Reference (LRF-027) consists of 6 ampoules with known-quantity lyophilic cell mixtures of BCR/ABL translocation-positive cells t(9;22), P210 variant diluted in negative cells. The Lyoset P210 Reference kit finds use:

  • in the performance evaluation of the quantitative assay for the detection of the BCR/ABL t(9;22) transcript, Philadelphia chromosome, P210 variant (M-bcr), normalized to the ABL gene transcript;
  • in the calculation of the Conversion Factor (CF) required to express the final quantification data of the BCR/ABL P210 transcript on the International Scale (IS).

The REFERENCE TITLE is derived from a calibration obtained using the “1st World Health Organization (WHO) Genetic Reference Panel for quantitation of BCR-ABL translocation by RQ-PCR” (NIBSC, UK, code: 09/138), in accordance with the guidelines described in HE White et al., Blood 116: 111-117, 2010.
